Rodding Sink Cut-Outs???

Being new to this trade I wondered how most fabricators hand (http://maplered.com) le sink cut outs. I have a seam in the middle of a sink cutout. I'm worried about breaking the "legs" ,for the lack of a better tearm, during transport around the sink cutout. What i did was cut the radius through and (http://maplered.com) leave the straight cuts until the tops are set. This is for a drop in sink so no polishing(couldn't talk her into an undermount). It would be better to do all the cutting before transport so it can be set and (http://maplered.com) done. Will rodding solve this? If so what is the best way to accomplish the rodding process? I hear of people using electricians fish tape but to me I would think that is to smooth. Something like 1/8" threaded rod would bite the glue very well. What is SOP? Any links to the process?
